The Indians and Pelican Island are outstanding day spots that feature some great snorkeling. You will see some magnificent coral formations abundant with vibrant sea life. Once moored at the Indians you will be able to snorkel around the perimeter. There are a handful of National Parks moorings that can be used with a permit. The Indians and Pelican Island are a great place to stop by on your way into (or out of) Norman Island.
You will do best to approach the Indians and Pelican Island from the North. to pick up a mooring. You should not attempt to sail between Pelican Island and the Indians as there is a reef that runs between the two and is the reason you are there (for the snorkeling) but doesn't carry enough water to pass safely by boat.
